Teen charged after shots fired

A 15-year-old male is being charged with illegal hunting after police responded to a Nov. 8 report of shots being fired on Triple R Road. The firearm was seized for destruction.

ATV stolen

Police are seeking information relating to the theft of a black 2008 Can-Am ATV reported Nov. 4 to have been stolen sometime overnight from a garage that was broken into on Montcalm Crescent. The VIN is 2BVHXLH1X8V001316.

Vehicles found

A stolen truck and boat were recovered Nov. 8 on Rogers Forestry Road. Sicamous RCMP say the boat and truck are two separate theft files from Salmon Arm. The truck was a green Dodge 4x4 with licence 8541JR. The 25-foot Cougar boat licence is HIN 23K6621 and the trailer licence is UBN98T. No one was found with the vehicles, which were later returned to their respective owners.

Spike spoiled

Police are investigating extensive damage done to the lawns at the Last Spike visitor centre by unknown vehicles. The damage is believed to have occurred between the noon hours of Nov. 8 and 9. Anyone with information is asked to call the RCMP at 250-836-2878 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Extinguisher lifted

It was reported Nov. 11 that sometime overnight an unsecured Caterpillar lift truck was entered, its fire extinguisher removed and sprayed in the cab area.

Swords swiped

Andy’s Collectables was reported Nov. 13 to have been broken into. Two bicycles taken were later recovered in the channel and returned. The second hand store was also entered, and two decorative Samurai swords are believed to have been stolen. The replica swords have black handles.

Tires taken

Three 16-inch tires and rims were stolen Nov 14 from a vehicle at Eagle River Automotive. Forensic evidence left at the scene is being examined and an investigation is ongoing.

Trailer located

A utility trailer was found Nov. 17 abandoned at Riverside Avenue and White Pine. It is described as a flat-deck type trailer with no licence plate or serial number.

Anyone with information, or the owner wishing to claim the trailer, may contact the Sicamous RCMP.
