Christmas is coming faster than you might think and it is time for the community to get it’s Christmas thinking cap on.
The Christmas Committee needs to know what your group is planning, dates etc. for 2009 so that they can bring it all together for an event schedule by mid-November. For instance, we already know that Santa’s Breakfast and Workshop is planned for Sunday, Nov. 29 from 8 a.m. to noon upstairs at the recreation centre, and that the Downtown Light-Up event, with horse drawn sleigh rides, a bonfire, carolling and Lion’s food concession has been scheduled for later that same day from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Main Street Landing park. The unveiling of our top Inukshuk will take place at 3:30 p.m. on Nov. 29. Knowing that, be sure to mark Sunday, Nov. 29 on your family calendar as a whole day of community celebration in Sicamous and area. Snow is already on order, for the day at least.
Plans are quickly taking shape. Be sure to let the committee know ASAP what your group is planning so that you can be included in the Christmas In Sicamous feature page. Deadline for inclusion is Nov. 13.
