Seniors Centre paid for in full

The Sicamous and District Senior Activity Centre is paid off, allowing the Seniors Society to focus on expanding programs and offering new things to the community.

Final payment came for the facility came in the form of a very generous donation from the OAPO and its president Bob Purchase.

“This means the debt is paid in full thanks to all the seniors in our community who rallied around and to all who rented the Seniors Centre this past year,” said society board member Diana Stooshnov. “Now we can concentrate on upgrades to the facility and more programs especially for seniors and their families.”

Membership is only $15, and is open to anyone in the community who would like to volunteer or participate in all the activities that take place.

For more information, call 250-836-2446, or send an e-mail to info@sicamouseniors.ca.

Activities going on at the centre can be found at www.sicamouseniors.ca.
