Softball winners
Two athletes who learned their softball skills in Clearwater show off the prizes they were given at the Softball B.C. award banquet held in Kelowna on Oct. 24. Brett Richards (l) accepted the minor athlete of the year award. Richards now plays for the Sooke Smoke team, winners of the silver medal at the Midget nationals held earlier this year in Prince Albert. Chris Cleavley received the master team of the year award for the Kamloops Sandman Inn Blazers. They won the western Canadian championships in Kamloops last summer. Cleavley, now a provincial court judge, grew up near Roundtop. Photo submitted
