ShareBasketball season underway

Training for this year’s basketball season is well underway at Clearwater Secondary School, according to teacher Libby Toman.
The Senior Girls played the first games for the school, attending a tournament in Princeton last weekend. Look for results in a future issue of the Times.
First home games will be tomorrow (Tuesday) when the Junior Girls and Junior Boys teams take on Barriere. The action starts at 5 p.m.
Thursday the junior teams will host again, this time against Merritt.
There is no Grade 8 Girls basketball team this year, said Toman. Those Grade 8s who are interested will instead play on the Junior Girls squad.
Coaches this year are: Grade 8 Boys, Grant Gale and Marvin Ritchie; Junior Girls, Jennifer Richardson; Junior Boys, Geoff Giesbrecht; Senior Girls, Mike Lau; and Senior Boys, Mike Lau, Marie Giesbrecht and Libby Toman.
