TNRD invites you to submit photo for Canadian Library Month photo contest
October is Canadian Library Month and during the month libraries across the country are celebrating their commitment to enhancing the quality of life for all Canadians. This year’s theme, Your Library, Your World: Now More than Ever, invites you to explore the important role that the library has played in your life. Libraries are centres of lifelong learning: where all users regardless of gender, age, race and religion can learn, engage, discover and connect.
Your library includes a world of information, including books, magazines, digital journal collections, DVDs and MP3s, downloadable audio books, as well as programs for everyone in the family.
What has the library taught you? Did you learn to cook or knit using a book? Did you fix your car using the online auto repair reference center or a manual?
Did your children learn to read with the books at the library? Or did you learn sign language from a DVD at the library?
The Thompson-Nicola Regional District Library System invites you to submit a photo showing what you have learned from the books or materials at the library.
Simply take a photo of yourself doing the activity the library has taught you, anything from sports and crafts, to academics and dream interpretation...the library has it all.
Drop off entries at any branch of the library system, or simply send them to contests@tnrdlib.bc.ca
This contest is open to all ages and runs from Oct. 5 to 31.
The winners will be awarded a prize. For more information contact: Melanie Rutherford, Reference Librarian Kamloops Library 250-372-5145.
