October is here, and with the coming of cool days and frosty nights you will find a flurry of activity at the Barriere Curling Rink. That’s because October is the start of curling season in this community and the Barriere Curling Club is set to go.

Members say curling is fun for all ages, shapes and sizes; women, men, mixed, seniors and junior leagues, bonspiels and functions, are all on the agenda for the upcoming season.

This week on Tuesday, Oct. 6, and the following day Oct. 7, league registration will be taking place at the curling rink from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

On Oct. 10, a Basic Curling Clinic will be held at the rink starting at 10 a.m. League curling starts on Oct. 13.

For more information call Eugene at 250-672-9381 or Steve at 250-672-5283.
