READThe 55th Annual Squam Bay Fish Derby turned out to be a beautiful day on the lake. The winner with a 10 lb 13 oz laker was Bob Davidson of Kamloops. He took home $600 and a keeper trophy. Hugh Fraser of Squam Bay was the second place winner with a 9 lb 5 oz laker and he won $200 and a keeper trophy. Dave Deleeuw of Kamloops caught the biggest Rainbow weighing 7 lb 3 oz’s choosing one of the many great prizes and taking home a trophy. There were 151 entries and there were 29 fish weighed in. There were more prizes than fish so we drew names out of the hat for the remaining prizes. Marlene Schulz from Vinsulla won the hidden weight prize which was a tackle box, with a 2 lb 6 oz rainbow. The $50 door prize went to Doug Easterbrook of Marnie’s Bay.
