THE TERRACE River Kings (2-5-1) will take on Prince Rupert Rampage (4-3-3) tomorrow evening in Rupert which will prove to be a lively match-up.
This weekend Terrace really needs to show what they’re about and what they’ve learned over the past two months. This is a huge divisional game as both teams try to creep up the standings.
Prince Rupert seemed a little soft on defense last time they played Terrace. The River Kings should be able to establish a better fore-check against the Rampage than the last few games against Smithers and that will create more scoring chances.
If there is one team in the league used to playing in front of an excited crowd it is Terrace so the home crowd advantage will not affect them like it may have affected the Braves last weekend.
Last time these teams met on October 10 it went to a shootout, which Terrace won 6-5.
The Rampage are coming off an up-and-down weekend versus the Braves, while Terrace made some positive strides last weekend in two very close losses.
River Kings' GM Andrew Deans will have live updates on the River Kings Facebook page throughout the evening.
The Smithers Steelheads (6-2) will take on the Kitimat Ice Demons (7-1-1)at the Tamitik this Saturday Nov. 21 as well. The battle between the top two teams in the West Division is sure to make for an exciting game. Kitimat has the edge in net with Jamie Moran and are usually solidified in the back-end by Jeff Mildenberger.
That being said, boy can Smithers move the puck quickly. If Kitimat gets into penatly trouble Smithers could come away with 2 points. However, Kitimat knows what to do.
Omenica Ice (2-6) will take on Houston Luckies (2-3) Sunday Nov.22 at 11:30 a.m. on Houston turf. There's a feeling that the Hoston Luckies everyone has come to know will be welcomed back into the upper rankings after this weekend.
Houston sits at 2-3 and need points badly to catch the Stampeders and Braves, while the Ice haven’t lived up to their standards so far this year.
The Claude Perrish Memorial Arena hosts both games in Houston. These two teams are in the basement, but at the halfway point of the season points are even more valuable to every team.
