POWER HAS been restored in Kincolith after a tree knocked down a wire yesterday afternoon.

The tree came down in a heavy wind storm that was experienced in many places along the coast and into the interior.

Crews restored power at about 1 a.m. today, approximately 11 hours after it was knocked out.

Approximately 166 customers in the village at the mouth of the Nass River were affected by the outage.

Meanwhile, what was described as a police incident nearly 29km west of Greenville toward Kincolith has been cleared.

It had reduced traffic to single lane alternating traffic on the road between Kincolith and Greenville earlier today.
