A PLEASANT July 1 was held in Kitimat thanks to very cooperative weather for the many events.

The traditional offerings of foods from many lands drew appreciative crowds.

And the parade, as always, was a highlight for those who lined the sides of the road to view and to applaud the floats.

One entry from Terrace this year was the Hockeyville float containing a massive hockey stick constructed during the run up to voting in late 2008.

And those on the float also showcased the Hockeyville trophy which was presented to Terrace after it won the title in March.
