A LOCAL environmental consulting firm has extended its reach to the Northwest Territories.
Cambria Gordon’s biologist Jason Cote has relocated to Yellowknife, where he will focus on environmental permitting of hydro-electric projects.
Company owner Dave Gordon said that is the current work going on up there right now, but the company is open to taking on other types of projects.
“It just made sense to have a base up there,” he said, explaining that the company has clients located in that area, and there is a competitive advantage to being up there. The new office opened up in mid-September, and Gordon said there is a vision to have the office expand to a four or six-person team in the future.
