Suspect sought in Kitimat stabbing death

RCMP SET up roadblocks leading out of Kitimat today, looking for a man in connection with the stabbing death of another man early this morning.
RCMP say Robert Purchase, 30, was witnessed at the scene of the stabbing of a 29-year-old man on Angle St. who later died.
Purchase, a white male who is five feet seven inches high and who weighs 221 pounds, is "considered armed and unstable," a press release from Kitimat RCMP stated this afternoon.
Officers are warning people not to approach Purchase if he is spotted and to call 911 instead.
RCMP say they were called to a residence on Angle St. at 7:15 this morning where the 29-year-old man was found in a driveway. He was taken to hospital in Kitimat and later passed away.
"We believe this to be an isolated incident," the RCMP press release stated.
Forensic ID officers from Terrace and major crimes officers from Prince George are in Kitimat investigating the death.
