H1N1 ruled out as cause of death of man at hospital
Updated: November 09, 2009 7:32 AM
The investigation by public health officials into the recent death of an individual at Prince George Regional Hospital as a suspected case of H1N1 influenza has concluded, after BC Centre for Disease Control test results were negative for H1N1 influenza.
In light of these results, Northern Health will not be commenting further on this case. British Columbia continues to monitor and respond to the spread of the pandemic H1N1 flu virus, and to report the numbers of lab-confirmed severe cases and deaths attributed to H1N1 influenza in the province. Media should continue to refer to the latest information bulletin from the Ministries of Health Services, and Healthy Living and Sport for those statistics.
