Human remains found in Otway gravel pit

Human remains were discovered in the Otway gravel pit area Monday afternoon.
Prince George Serious Crimes Unit and Prince George Detachment Forensic Identification Section attended the scene and worked until nightfall Monday and were back at the site today.
The remains have not yet been identified, however the investigation is being treated as suspicious and is being handled by the serious crimes unit.
Police are asking the public to call if they noticed any suspicious activity or vehicles in the area in the last seven to 10 days. If you have any information, call the Prince George detachment at 250-561-3300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
