Man arrested for lawyer assault

A 24-year-old Prince George man has been arrested in connection with the assault on a local lawyer.
Jan Christiansen was assaulted on Victoria Street at about 7 p.m. on July 26.
The arrested man, in custody for other unrelated matters, has been charged with aggravated assault and robbery.

Just before 10 p.m. Wednesday night, police responded at alarm at Northern Industrial Supplies on Opie Crescent.
Upon arrival, the police discovered that the glass front door had been broken in. It was evident that entry had been gained to the business. A quick inventory indicated that a number of 18-volt tool kits were missing. Each has a value of about $500. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call the RCMP.
