Kitimat Christmas craft sale a go

Despite reports to the contrary, the Kitimat Christmas Craft and Gift sale will go ahead as planned this weekend.

The city's recreation department issued a news release Thursday morning stating that "Yes, the Kitimat Craft is on this weekend."

The annual fair, which officially kicks off the holiday shopping season, will have a maximum number of craft and food vendors from across the Northwest attending.

The biggest event of its kind in the Northwest, the fair takes place at Riverlodge Friday, November 6, 5 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. and Saturday, November 7 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Visitors can again expect a world of culinary delights at the famed international food fair, which will be featuring 22 tables, including Filipino dishes, as well as Greek and Portuguese. Other food items, specialty coffees, preserves and baked goods will also be available.

As usual, the range of goods on sale will be amazing and include jewelry, wooden toys, quilting, pet products, pottery and much more.

Cost for admittance is $2.50 for adults, $2.00 for students and seniors, and it’s free to get in for kids under the age of six.
