A 1993 Ford Taurus was set ablaze Sunday night, and a witness claims to have seen fireworks shooting off inside it.
At 10:30 p.m., local RCMP and the Kitimat Fire Department were called to the scene at 1547 Albatross Avenue, where they found the vehicle engulfed in flames and destroyed. The car had a damaged window.
Two other incidents were also reported that night – a firework was ignited inside an unlocked vehicle on Teal Street, causing interior damage, and an improvised explosive device was set off against a vehicle parked at Nechako Centre.
