Service Centre businesses no longer have to boil their water.

City workers delivered the notices Thursday afternoon that the samples the city took on June 23 have come back "bacteriologically safe for drinking, according to the Health Canada guidelines," according to the letters.

The boil water advisory went into effect when a second, unsterilized fire hose had to be run across Haisla Bridge to provide additional water for firefighting efforts at 101 Industries.

The city's engineering department said the boil water advisory was precautionary measure.

The engineering department thanks the public for their patience and ask that anyone who has any questions or concern to call them at 250-632-8906.
