If we can’t afford a rec building how can we afford a pool?

I just finished reading Hugh Neave's view point of Oct. 21, 2009. Just wondering if Hugh could clarify a few points for me. Area B voted in favour of the referendum  and paying the extra tax for the arena and curling rink.

Yes, Hugh, the skating  rink is very important. Does that mean there is no depression and the economy is good in Area B?

Area E voted against the referendum and the extra tax because, according to Hugh, there is a depression and the economy is bad and they have to put food on their table. Hugh goes on to say "just look at  how many people are having to take advantage of the food bank".

Does that mean people who voted against the referendum are using the food bank? Just curious.

If we cannot afford the maintenance on the recreational building we do have, how can we afford a swimming pool with only the village and Area B paying the bills.

P.S. Hugh did say "in some years to come they may support the arena".

By then it will be reduced to rubble.
