The office of the Lakes District Unit of the Canadian Cancer Society is back on their Tuesday and Friday, 11:00 am to 1:00 pm office hours.
Now, I’m not a crib player but the group playing traveling crib sound like they have a lot of fun. If you are interested, call Sharon at 698-7626. They play throughout the winter.

There is another Alzheimer one hour Free Tele-workshop coming up on Oct. 29, 2009 at 7:00 pm. If you do not have access to a computer, please call 1-800-667-3742 to have the material mailed to you. This workshop explains the connection between brain and behavior.
The Southside Health and Wellness Centre continues their Arthritis Exercise classes every Tuesday and Friday from 10:00 am to 10:30 am. They have a nurse practitioner at the clinic on the Oct. 27 through the 30at 1:00 pm in the afternoon.
A fund raising event coming up for the Southside Senior Housing Society is a Pizza Sale set for Nov. 18. Watch for posters.
There is a Ladies Night coming up in January and a Rib dinner in March. Watch for dates.
I understand that the literacy W.O.W. bus is almost ready. What a great thing that will be for the youngest reader to the oldest!
