Two people are dead following a single vehicle accident just east of Smithers on Hwy 16.
Smithers RCMP stated that a 23-year-old male and a 33-year-old female were pronounced dead at the scene at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Sunday.
The names of the victims are not being released pending notification of next of kin.
Smithers RCMP said they are continuing their investigation into the crash and have released few details into the possible cause of the accident.
