Pot bust nabs three in Smithers

Smithers RCMP members executed a search warrant and entered an apartment unit in the 1100 block of Main Street during the early evening hours of Nov. 18.
In their search the RCMP seized 65 grams of marijuana as well as $300.
The pot was individually packaged for distribution and the street value was estimated at approximately $650.
Three residents have been arrested in connection to this investigation.
The RCMP are seeking charges of Possession of Marihuana for the Purpose of Trafficking. One other resident was also arrested on an outstanding warrant for breach charges.
The Smithers RCMP encourage the community to contact the detachment with any information regarding drug distribution in town.
