Stabbing sends one to hospital in Smithers

An altercation between a Smithers resident and a visitor from Langley, B.C. ended with the local resident was sent to the Bulkley Valley District Hospital with injuries from a knife.
The RCMP responded to the call on Oct. 24 at the Twin Valley Motor Inn.
Officers were sucessful in taking the Langley resident into custody with help from several employees from the Inn.
The Langley resident was remanded in custody to appear before a Provincial Court Judge.
The RCMP have not released the names of either involved.
The police do want to thank those involved who helped them during the event.
