Small groups of protestors had a nearly continuous presence outside Shell’s two-day open house in Smithers last week. The company faces widespread opposition over its proposal to extract coalbed methane from an area known as the Sacred Headwaters. Shell said despite the protests last week the open house was well attended by the public.
