Lightning has ignited a number of fires in the past week in the Northwest Fire Centre region.
The biggest fire has reached a size of 210 hectares in size and is located just south of the Yukon border. The fire is burning within a volatile fuel type with very few natural breaks in the fuel, making it hard for fire crews to gain control. Last Wednesday evening crews were pulled off of the fire due to aggressive behaviour.
