Banned driver Editor: Smithers, B.C.
This goes out to all those drivers who either talk or text on their cellphones while driving, but especially to the young girl driving a small grey car, Thursday, Oct. 15 at 8:00 a.m.
Luckily my husband was driving and not my girls with the N’s. The roads were icy so we were driving under the speed limit approaching Smithers by the Par 3, when suddenly my husband shouted “what in the hell is that car doing?”
She was on our side of the highway heading straight for us, on her cell phone. Fortunately she caught herself and was able to pull over into her own lane just in time.
Had this ben an L or an N driver, or just bad timing, her conversation would have been over quickly, and perhaps our lives.
Is cellphone use while driving illegal? I was under the understanding it was. Please take the time to pull over next time to talk.
