The B.V.R.C. Flyers were given the nod of approval from council to host an extended 2010 Annual Model Aircraft Fun-Fly next June.
“They asked for some extra days because people come from far away, so they want to have a bigger event,” Linda Poznikoff, director of corporate services, said.
Council approved the flyers full use of the Houston Airport from June 16 - 2, 2010, providing the group can provide adequate proof of liability insurance of at least $2 million and naming the District of Houston as an additional insured.
The airport would be able to remain open throughout the event, however a notice to Airmen (NOTAM) will be requested.
