RCMP REPORT

The RCMP received a total of 62 calls for service over the last week. This includes one domestic violence investigation and two impaired driver investigations. The detachment has lodged a total of 27 prisoners in the detachment cells during the last week.

Damage to Vehicle

On October 18 the RCMP received a complaint of damage to a vehicle on Sampson Drive. The taillights of the vehicle were both smashed. The incident is still under investigation.

Shots Fired

On October 17 the RCMP responded to a report of shots being fired in the Fort Trailer Court. The complaint turned out to be false, and an intoxicated person involved in the incident was arrested at the location and lodged in the detachment cells. There were no charges recommended in the incident.

Counterfeit Money

On October 15 the RCMP received a report of a counterfeit $20 Canadian bill. The bill was discovered when used at a local bank. Local businesses are requested to be aware that people may attempt to pass more counterfeit currency.

Fort Trailer Court Assault

On October 14 the RCMP received a report of an assault outside a residence in the Fort Trailer Court south of Fort St. James. As a result of a police investigation the following Fort St. James area resident has been charged with the following offences.

Scott Stanley SCHIELKE Age: 60 years

Assault Section 271 Criminal Code

Unlawful Confinement Section 279 Criminal Code

Mr. SCHIELKE appeared before a Justice of the Peace and has been held in custody to appear in court at a late date.
