Gold Pan City Dance launches Expressions Nov. 6, 8 p.m. where local talent can take to the stage in a casual, intimate atmosphere and express themselves in just about any medium including stand up comedy, speech arts, singing, playing music, dance or their favourite monologue. With just a $2 cover charge, Jessie Herman, bottom and Sarah Wemyss encourage those willing to perform their talent to drop by. “Some people’s talent is encouraging others to perform, you need both for a great experience,” Wemyss said. Herman added it’s something different to do on a Friday night, meet new people, get together with friends or just stop by and enjoy the performances. “It allows people to test their gifts and share their talent no matter how undeveloped,” Herman said. The pair plan to open Expressions every Friday evening at the studio on St. Laurent Avenue.
