Comedy auction a funny fundraiser

Wells Historical Society invites all those who love to laugh to join in the fun as they get set for the 16th annual Comedy Auction July 24.
The auction features the funny talents of Matthew Quick. Come and join the fun as lots are auctioned off including various accommodations in Quesnel, Wells and Barkerville, gift certificates to restaurnats and stores along with paintings, prints, clothing jewelry, furniture and much more.
The auction is held in Wells Community Hall located just five minutes from Barkerville Historic town and just 40 minutes from Quesnel.
Admission is by donation and bidding cards are $2. Silent auction bidding and pre-auction viewing is 7 – 8 p.m. with the comedy auction at 8 p.m.

All proceeds from the auction support efforts to provide public education in local and regional history as well as the continued restoration and preservation of historic buildings around Wells.
