The 67-year-old charged with attempting to pull a 14-year-old girl into a wooded area is back in court Sept. 14.
Balbir Basi was arrested in mid-August after an alleged incident on North Fraser Drive. The girl was able to escape and immediately ran to a nearby residence for help. Police were contacted and a male suspect matching the description [Basi] was located in the immediate vicinity. He was subsequently arrested.
