Families and anyone looking for a little exercise might want to consider Sunday afternoon curling at the 100 Mile Curling Rink.

The 100 Mile Club is starting an open league on Nov. 22 and it’s designed to accommodate people with any level of experience — even those who have never tried the sport.

“This is for anyone who wants to curl and we’ll have people there to teach them how if they need help,” says club member Bill Pratt.

All ages are welcome as long as they’re strong enough to handle a rock, and the club is making it extra easy by having brooms and sliders available to lend.

“All you need is a clean pair of runners that must be carried in,” says Pratt. “We’ll make up some teams and away they’ll go.”

Cost for the season is $80 per person for non-members and $50 for members. Ice time is 3:15 to 5:15 p.m. every Sunday.
