They’re a diverse group of Grade 10 students, but on the court, the Peter

Skene Ogden Secondary School (PSO) junior girls

volleyball players have gelled into a team.

They looked solid and in control Oct. 27 while playing host to Williams Lake Secondary as PSO won four out of the five matches played.

It was the first set of games this season for the brand new team, and according to assistant coach Crystal Dawn Langton, they hadn’t known what to expect. She was elated with the results.

“Winning four out of five is pretty darn good for their first shot at another team.”

The first game saw PSO win 25-10; followed with a close 25-23 victory, a 25-20 win and another win at 25-17. The last game went to WLSS, 27-25.

Grade 12 student Amanda Crompton coaches the junior girls team.
