Archery buffs got everything they’d bargained for and then some between a couple of local shoots held during the month of July.

Many who came for the North American Longbow Safari Shoot held at the beginning of the month stayed around for the recent 14th annual Traditional Shoot.

It was hosted by the Big Horn Bowhunters club on July 17 to 19 at Timothy Lake.

Other participants came from Fort St. John, Fraser Lake, Washington State, Mackenzie and Germany.

Big Horn club member Teresa Dunkel said the weekend also included night time entertainment around a large bonfire.

“A really fun time was had by all both day and night,” she said.

Results from first to third for the Timothy Lake shoot were:

Longbow Men’s - Yak Crame, Ernie Schmid, Ross Curry.
