Lighting up

the night sky

Boys will be boys and there are no age barriers when an opportunity comes around to blow things up.

I saw a small group of young and older men having a lot of fun setting off a fireworks display on the shores of Green Lake on Halloween night.

Star-bursts lit up the night sky for a good 15 minutes, providing a dazzling show for the immediate audience as well as for those in lakeside homes.

Reunion

A friend called me from Prince George on the weekend and asked if I would let folks in our neck of the woods know a reunion weekend is being organized for students, staff and the teacher alumni of Duchess Park Secondary School, April 2-4, 2010.

The organizing committee consists of grads from all years and

is in the early stages of planning activities that will include a social event, alumni sports games, a time capsule and creation of a

financial legacy that will support student scholarships.

Registration begins when the official website is launched Nov. 30. If you’re interested, Goggle Duchess Park Secondary after Nov. 30.

See you there.
