New Democrat MLA Bruce Ralston will be in 100 Mile House on Oct. 24 to speak with residents and businesses about how they will be impacted by the B.C. Liberal government’s HST and cuts to health and education.

Tourism, the arts and local sports are just a sample of the industries the HST will hurt, he says.

The forum takes place at 1 p.m. at the United Church, 49 Dogwood Ave. in 100 Mile House.

Dance

cancelled

The Family Dance planned for Oct. 30 at the 100 Mile Elementary gymnasium has been postponed.

Event organizer Lori Dodds says the cancellation is due to the large number of other events taking place that weekend. No future date for the dance has yet been determined but Dodds says anyone who purchased tickets has already been contacted and refunded.
