Blaze out

The wildfire that started May 29 at Buffalo Creek is now totally out.

Grace Pickell, Cariboo Fire Centre fire information officer, said the cause of the fire is still under investigation although they do know it was human-caused.

She said the actual cost of fighting that fire isn’t yet known and she didn’t know if anyone will face charges in relation to the fire.

Farmers at 108

108 resident and business owner Ingrid Meyer is one of the organizers of a new farmers’ market initiative beginning this Wednesday at the 108 Heritage Site.

The market will run every Wednesday until Labour Day, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Meyer is hoping to have a variety of vendors that include fresh produce. Anyone interested in being a part of the market is asked to call Ingrid at 250-791-5663.
