New board to takeover Ainsworth execs made public SHORT TAKES

Ainsworth Lumber Company Limited has announced a new board of directors.

The appointments will be effective once the recapitalization of the company is in place, a date tentatively set for July 29.

Robert Chadwick from Toronto, Ontario, Jay Gurandiano from Westmount, Quebec, Paul Houston from Ajax, Ontario, Morley Koffman from Vancouver, John Lacey from Thornhill, Ontario, W. Gordon Lancaster from West Vancouver and Jonathan I. Mishkin from New York, New York, will take over the reins of Ainsworth.

Salary of IHA

The provincial government has released salary information for the top executives in the province.

The chief executive officer at Interior Health Authority, Murray Ramsden, pulled in a total of $369,165 last year.

That includes base salary, pension and all other compensation.

Robert Halpenny, the regional medical director, made $280,056, while the chief financial officer, Chris Mazurkewich, was paid $258,602.
