The first 70 Mile House Volunteer Fire Department bingo will be held on Oct. 8 at Seventy Mile Access Centre.
Doors open at 6 p.m. and play starts at 7. The following bingo night is Oct. 22.

VFD AGM
The 70 Mile fire department will hold its annual general meeting on Oct. 18 at 6 p.m. at the fire hall on Willow Drive.
The financial statements for the previous year will be presented and the board of directors will be elected.
All residents who have paid fire dues are eligible to vote.
Fire dues of $50 for homes are now payable. For

SMAC meeting
The Seventy Mile Access Centre will hold a general meeting on Oct. 14 at 7 p.m. at the centre. For more details, call Kathy at 250-456-2199.
OCP meeting
The third Official Community Plan meeting will be held on Oct. 13 at Seventy Mile Access Centre. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the presentation starts at 7.
The agenda will include a draft of their objectives and information from the first two meetings. This will be a followed by a question-and-answer session. All interested residents are invited to attend.
Raffle winners
The 70 Mile VFD barbecue raffle winners were drawn on Sep. 5 at the Dusty Rose Pub.
The winner of the barbecue was Maureen Rohrke,
and the food
basket was won by Philip Birch.
