Hi Everyone!! I am Nicole, the Abbotsford Greenfighter for Kin's Farm Market.

I guess I should tell you all a little bit about me. I am 22 years old and I keep VERY busy! I work full-time as dispatcher, I'm a full-time student at UFV and volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada every week as a Big Sister. I have an AMAZING boyfriend who keeps my life going behind the scenes, cooking meals, doing dishes, taking care of my animals when I'm away from home (I have a dog and cat, you'll hear about them later) and best of all ... CLEANING THE HOUSE!! So I'd like to say Thank you to him!! I am a bit of a clean freak and it drives me absolutely nuts when I can't take the time to organize my space, so I really appreciate everything he does!

So I mentioned my animals, I am a HUGE dog lover! I am the proud owner of a 2.5 year old pug named Harley, who I think is the most handsome little guy ever! We love to go for walks, play at the park and do obedience classes together when I get some free time. Our latest thing is Rally-O. If you have a dog Google it, seriously! If I could add a couple hours to my day I would probably spend it at the dog park or an animal rescue. I also have a cat named Cookie, who I'm pretty sure loves my boyfriend a little more than me. You will probably be seeing a lot of these guys in my posts and pictures to come, so don't fret!

My BIGGEST CHALLENGE of the challenge so far has been ... time management! That is a HUGE deal for me, as I said before, I love to be organized and if I'm not, I'm prone to have a mini-melt down. Crisis averted (though scarcely) this week! Woohoo! This week was a huge hurdle too because not only was I starting an amazing journey on this challenge, it was also midterms week, so now I feel like, if I can make it through that alive, I'll be okay!

I've started to make more changes in my eating habits; keeping a food journal daily has helped immensely. Not only with keeping track of my calories but just being able to SEE what I am putting in my body is a huge wake up call. I've also been challenging myself to NOT give into the temptations of treats and sweets, although I've had a couple small slip ups, I think I've done pretty good AND I've been honest with myself about which is important in trying to become a healthier person.

If you'd like to come out, meet me and support me in my journey my first In-store challenge will be March 9th at the Abbotsford-South Fraser Gate store. Located just off of South Fraser Way across from Safeway (In the Shoppers/Original Joes strip mall). Please come see me and fill out a Post-it note for my wall of "one thing" pledges. Tell me what one thing is that you can do to help improve your health, enjoy some samples of amazing produce and some balloons for the kiddies. The more the Merrier!! Mark your calendars and see you all there!!
